Tell us about yourself and what you do at Amium?
I’m Jordan Chong and I’m a front-end web developer here at Amium.
What is the most interesting thing you’ve done at Amium?
I’ve had the chance to contribute changes during a major product launch.
What kind of challenges have you faced at Amium? How does the team support you when working through a challenge?
Some of the challenges I’ve faced have revolved around working on a codebase that merges web, mobile, and desktop into a single front-end codebase and getting them all to work nicely with each other. We have a great team though with very knowledgable people to help wade through the unknown territory that comes with using new technologies.
What’s your favorite thing about working at Amium?
How do you use Amium and what makes it different from other tools you use?
I use Amium primarily within the context of my engineering team to hurdle obstacles related to parts of the codebase I’m unfamiliar with.
What excites you the most about new Amium features/what is your favorite feature?
I’m most excited to start using Amium to collaborate and share with people external to my own team.
What do you like to do in your time away from work?
Whenever I have some free time I like playing my guitar to relax. I also like trying my hand at new hobbies every couple of months. Lately, I’ve been really into swimming and kickboxing.
If you could do anything you wanted (not for a job), what would it be?
Though it wouldn’t be practical for me in the near future I’d really like to get a dog.
